4.5 Stars!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
This is the story of Presley, a rich brat, but who truly does have a good heart. She has resentment when things go bad, like her parents getting a divorce and instead of getting closer to either of them, she pulls away, mad at the world.
Enter Nathaniel, a guy who works for her father, who she doesn't understand. Yeah, so what if he's good looking. Nathaniel hasn't had an easy life at all, and he works for everything he has. Thanks to Presley's father, he's able to start working, making money, attend college, and build his dreams. He owed a lot to Winston. He changed his life, if it weren't for him, things would have turned out completely different.
From the day Nate ran into Presley, things never went right. When they cross paths years later and Presley throws herself at him, he does not reciprocate. She can't help but feel unwanted. Though, she knows there would never be anything there, it's college, she's allowed to experiment.
Forward to years later....Presley's wedding day. The day she should be the happiest in her life, yet, she's not. It doesn't help that Nathaniel is there, comes to visit her before she walks down the aisle and to say the encounter didn't go well, would be an understatement.
Life happens, things change, and though things haven't worked out for Presley, she's determined to make a name for herself at her father's company. She's going to open a brewery and run it, she will make it successful. What she doesn't know is that Nathaniel has a stake in the company now.
When they must work together on a project, it's not all sunshine and butterflies, but there are some sparks. Are they wanted and happy sparks though? Presley will be tested to her limits, even when tragedy strikes, will she be able to recover, will Nate be there to help her, or is he the one causing more of the problems in her life?
Definitely a must read!
