4.5 Stars.... .5 taken off because of another cliffhanger. I'm dying to know what happens!
Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off, with Luke gone and Reese trying to move forward with her life. Reese starts hanging out with Sean a neighbor that Logan and Luke both don't like, but he's there for her when no one else is. He's her friend and he doesn't cross any boundaries.
As Reese tries to move forward with her life, including meeting up with her father once a week, she has no idea what Luke is doing.
Luke is living in hell day in and day out, though he knows he's doing it to protect the girl he loves, Reese. He would do anything for her and though she doesn't have a clue, it's better this way, because she's a stubborn one.
Luke is so close to Reese's place that he can't not see her. After the hell he's just been through, he wants to see her, be near her, so he goes to her. They spend a great few hours together before Luke has to leave again.
Reese can't help the attraction or connection she has with Luke and let's Sean know they are back together, though he tells her he will always be her friend, which is what she needs.
When shit hits the fan worlds come tumbling down and Reese doesn't just get knocked down once but twice. How can everything go great one minute and the next poof...it's all gone? Reese has to deal with tragedy by herself and hear the awful news she wishes she never knew about.
Unfortunately for Luke, Sean's there to pick up the pieces. Luke wants nothing more than for Reese to forgive him, but how can she forgive him for the choices he made?
I'm dying to know, but have to wait until book 3 to find out. :(
I love the story though!
