Oh how I love me some Demetri!
This is Demetri and Alyssa's story!
Demetri has love and lost and has had to deal with things out of his control. To say he is full of pain would be an understatement. He wants to give it all up but that's not always an option. Demetri is in counseling and has been instructed to get a job, (not that his music isn't a job!) So he does and in time he is told off by a girl who could care less about his super stardom.
Alyssa is pissed off that Demetri is outside a taffy store handing out samples and singing a jingle, why....because her family's taffy store is located across the street. When she gives Mr. Hotshot a piece of her mind she is stunned by his pure beauty. Oh yes Demetri is a Rock God! But Alyssa knows what it's like to love and what is like to experience loss so falling for someone else is definitely not on her radar.
When the two become friends Demetri realizes he needs Alyssa as much as she needs him. He can see she has sadness and secrets and he hopes to be the one to help her through whatever painful issues she has. The do decide to hang out and the more they hang out the more feelings become involved.
Demetri realizes that no matter how hard he goes after Alyssa that she needs to move forward and love herself before she can open her heart to love another. But he promises to never give up and he will continue to be there for her.
When Alyssa finally realizes that she wants Demetri too things start to look up until secrets come out. Secrets always come out.
Do Demetri and Alyssa have what it takes to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way or will it be the end of them?
Such a great story, I absolutely loved reading about Demetri. Looking forward to more in the third installment Shatter!
