Wow!!! Talk about one hell of a story!
This is a story that makes you mad, makes you cry, makes you laugh, and smile! It definitely pulls every emotion out of you!!!

This is the story about Kayla and Jax!
Kayla is a girl who is about to go to prom with her boyfriend of four years (James) and her best friend Megan. Unfortunatly Kayla finds out some ugly news when she see's her so called best friend and boyfriend together, trying to situate themselves. (in a restaurant no less). As James tries to apologize Megan storms off. Jake happens to be going to prom as well, just a different school prom and watches the whole mess unfold. He sits down and tries to comfort Kayla. When Jake surprises Kayla with an option about prom Kayla agrees and the night turns out to be much better than how it started, unfortunately it gets considerably worse.
When she gets home she comes back to an unexpected scene and loses it. Jake is there to help her through it even though he has no idea how to really help her. Jake becomes the rock for Kayla throughout the book. She depends on him and leans on him for support and he continues to comfort her all the while falling for a more and more each time.
When Jake's family steps up and helps Kayla with family decisions, Kayla is thankful and slightly happy. Though the memories will never go away she is learning it's okay to make new memories too. She is also realizing she is falling in love with Jake.
Jake is a pretty big deal! (though Kayla didn't realize just how big a deal he was).
When college comes, Jake wants one thing but Kayla is determined to show she can do it on her own that she is not dependent on Jake. Even though Jake doesn't see it that way.
The two go through the emotions of jealousy a few times and it's great to see how Jake is full of a caveman under that sexier exterior!!!
Also, I freaking loved Jakes friends, Logan, Heidi and Dylan, and Lucy and Cam! Lucy will definitely cut a bitch especially if she is drunk!!! Love the fiestiness of her!!! Jake's friends accepted Kayla into their group right away and great friendships were made which
is just what Kayla needed!!!!
It was great to watch Jake and Kayla grow little by little realizing how true love can happen. It can happen in an instant! Sometimes if you are lucky the person is your other half!!!
