This was a good read! It is the story of Kat, Branch, and Brooks.
Branch and Brooks are identical twins and have grown up with Katy (aka Kat). They have known each other since birth. When tragedy strikes Kat lives with her two best friends. The boys love her just like she loves them, but when the day comes...how do you choose which boy to be with?
Well the decision isn't hard...one boy steps up to the plate while the other fades into the background. Unfortunately, I was rooting for the other brother.
With graduation approaching they make decisions that are best for them. For Kat its to go to college with Branch and for Brooks it's to join the military.
Unfortunately for Kat she's always had this pull, this connection to Brooks, but he never pursued her. If he would have, she would have chosen the other brother.
A few years pass and Kat hasn't seen or heard from Brooks though she misses him. Even though Brooks and Branch are identical twins, they are completely different.
When Brooks comes home for his brothers upcoming wedding, he knows what he needs to do. When Kat and Brooks cross paths, sparks fly and all the feelings they've held in are out in the open. When they are able to admit their true feelings things change.
Unfortunately, Kat doesn't know how to deal with the repercussions of her actions so instead she runs. Runs away from her family, her fiancé, and her true love.
A few years pass and she can't help but continue to think about her true love and where he may be and if he's safe and okay.
When the two cross paths again they have more issues to overcome. Can they two finally be able to be together and put the past behind them or will too much happen for them to truly have their happily ever after?
I can definitely say there were times I wanted to punch Kat for being dumb and for doing some of the things she did. I felt that some parts were drug out far more than they needed to be.
I was team Brooks all the way and I can't help but admit I felt he deserved better than Kat. She ran from everything. I disagree with her choices many times and she frustrated the crap out of me.
All in all it was a really good read and definitely worth checking out!
