Wow! What an absolute amazing story. This is the story between Alexa and Jace.
Alexa and Jace became best friends in high school. Though they each had a crush on each other they didn't see how the other felt. When feelings are stated it couldn't come at a worse time. It comes the day before Jace leaves for boot camp. He tells Alexa he will come back for her. Unfortunately time and people step in the way and distance and confusion drives
these two further apart.
Ten years later, Alexa was married and now a widow because of an accident. She has to try to pick up the pieces and more forward with her life. Unfortunately she's not quite sure how to do that.
When Jace and Alexa come face to face with each other after all these years they still have sparks there. Though it's hard to really know a person in a weekend, but the two days they do get a lot of questions and concerns out there. They talk like they haven't been apart for so long, unfortunately after the nice weekend together reality sets in and Jace is going back
overseas.
They decide to keep in contact and see where things go. Though distance definitely stands in their way. Writing letters and small communication has allowed the two to get closer and really learn about each other again.
Unexpectedly Jace shows up early and surprises Alexa but will it be a happy surprise? When the two get to spend time together can they realize how they truly feel for one another or has the time apart pushed them further from one another?
Eventually Jace has to leave and though he doesn't leave without Alexa knowing his true feelings but will she feel the same way? Will she tell him how she feels?
Life happens and things don't always go as planned. When Alexa is faced with one of her worst fears will she be able to handle the situation or will is break her?
This is a story of love and second chances!
