I gave this story 4.5 stars!
This was an emotional read. The heartache, the sadness, the realization of what happens when we make poor decisions.
Sebastian and Lena have been friends since they were kids, best friends, only Lena has had the biggest crush on her best friend since forever. Problem with that is that Sebastian doesn't feel the same way.
Lena has always been kind of closed off, except with her best friends, Megan, Dary, and Abbi, the four are thicker than thieves. The only thing she hasn't told the four of them is her feelings for her male best friend Sebastian, though the girls aren't blind, they can see the attraction.
Sebastian is the lead running back for the high school football team, he's also every girls dream guy. He's been in a serious relationship since middle school with a girl, but recently they broke up, well she broke up with him. Now he's gone for a month visiting family and Lena cannot wait until he comes home.
At parties, we all make decisions, just as a teenager you don't always think about the consequences. When Lena makes a life changing decision it affects more than just her. Life's are altered and will never be the same.
Tragedy has a way of changing a person, one who looked forward to tomorrow, but now can't let go of the past and what happened. How can Lena overcome the trauma of living in the present when she can't deal with her choices and the guilt is eating her away.
Can her friends help her, can Sebastian help her and forgive her? Will they be able to overcome what happened and move forward together?
This was a very emotional and touching story. Tears were shed! A definitely must read.
