A good read! While it took me a little to actually get into the book, it turned out to be pretty good. This is the story of Lacey, born from a middle class family, who works hard for what they want. Though she went to a private school paid by her grandma, she's best friends with extremely wealthy girls. She just doesn't let it get to her.
When Lacey goes with her best friend Marcia on a yacht, she never thought she would run into a hot and sexy Jordan. While she knows she has seen him somewhere, she can't quite place him. Their conversation is normal, like he's a normal regular guy, just like her, not one of those snobby rich boys who thinks he owns the world. When reality kicks in, she can't get away from him fast enough.
Jordan, a rich boy, isn't like the rest of his family. His brother went through women faster than he went through underwear and his dad has always been business. Jordan goes to college and loves to read books. When he runs into Lacey, it's like a breath of fresh air, a normal girl, though she hands him his ass on a silver platter more than he care to count, he's drawn to her.
Lacey runs into Jordan again, this time he blatantly hits on her, while his girlfriend is only a few feet away. Lacey, appalled that the rich boys think they can all get away with it. She wants nothing to do with a man especially a wealthy one, who thinks its okay to cheat.
Jordan is anything but what his family is. His mother always doing what his father says, never standing up for herself and Jordan finds himself in a horrible situation. Does he do what he wants or what his family needs him to do. Does he date a girl he doesn't have any attraction too, because of a business deal? When he's left with no choice, he does what any good son would do, but at what costs?
The more Jordan sees Lacey, the more interested he is in her. The more Lacey see's Jordan, the more she realizes she likes him. When Lacey has a shocking discovery she has to figure out a way to earn money and fast. Yes, she could ask her super rich best friend, but she won't, she will figure out a way, and her brother Martin helps her. They come up with an amazing plan, but at what costs with it have for Lacey?
Jordan shows up more times than Lacey would like to count and has saved her, when she sees him in a different light she wants to believe he isn't like his whore of a brother, but how can she be sure? She saw proof of him, being just like his brother.
Can these two see past all the commotion and craziness of their families to see they have more in common than they think? Can they overcome the obstacles that keep coming at them? Will Jordan be able to say no to his family? Will Lacey make it out alive from the situations she's putting herself in?
A very good story that you won't regret reading!
