Book 2, the conclusion in the Heartache series.
I give this book 4 stars. I was hoping to give it more, but it felt like having two books it was very drawn out. It would have been one book and been absolutely amazing, but it just seemed to drag on in parts.
First and Forever picks right up where book one left off. Connor working hard, pushing himself harder to be the person he needs to be, to get to the place he needs in order to take care of Ava and Miss D. Unfortunately, to be going through what he needs, he can't always be there for Ava and incident after incident happens, which she tries to deal with, but misses the one person who calms her the most.
When Connor is at his peak, Ava gives him a box that a super fan gave to her, when he opens it, he can't help but feel sick. How is she back? Why now? What could she possibly want? When someone abandons you in the worst way, how does one get over it? Instead of Connor talking to Ava or his dad about this woman, he lies about it, which only causes more problems between him and his girlfriend.
When things finally come to a head, someone leaves, someone falls apart, one to pick themselves up and continue on the journey they started and truths come out.
Can time away help them heal? To move on? When they cross paths, things are different, but feelings don't just go away, no matter how hard you will them to. Will they be able to overcome the lies, the secrets and be them? Or will others come to their rescue?
It was all in all a good series, I just wished it would have been a little shorter, because I felt myself skimming parts that weren't really necessary.
