This was only 3.5 stars for me. I wanted to love it, but I found myself only liking it. A part of me felt like it was very similar to another book she had written and I kept thinking back to that one while reading this one.
This story is about Blair. Blair was burned by a guy, a guy she trusted who in turn let her down. Now she's working at a PI company and low and behold their target is none other than Jessie Beckett, aka the guy who burned Blair.
When she plans to uncover the truth about the Jessie she thought she once knew, she will stop at nothing, even as far as getting down on her hands and knees. Unfortunately for Blair, she's not as clever as she thinks and Jessie's best friend Colin steps in. Through talking and a little convincing, she has Colin deciding to help her out, in destroying his best friend. What a best friend right? Oh it gets even more messed up!
There are laughs and oh my moments throughout this book and a little bit of you know what's coming, but Colin swoon...oh Colin.
The more Colin helps Blair, he starts to have feelings for her, but the closer Blair gets to Jessie, he doesn't forget how she was the one he let get away. Can Jessie win back Blair's heart, or has she already lost it to someone else?
It was a decent read, but definitely not nearly as good as some of RVD's other books. This one was just meh for me.
