This was by far my favorite book in the series! Loved it!
This is Carter's story!
Carter...in love with his best friend Kate who unfortunately never stood a chance with her, needs a change. He leaves his two best friends behind to move across the country. (Kate & Dean) Which in turn means he also leaves the band, The Hellions.
How he came to Sanibel Island is a crazy story in itself but once he's there he hope's there's a reason. And Oh boy is there!
First Carter meets Jackson who has a huge ego and acts a certain way, but he helps Carter, he hooks him up with a place to stay and a new job. Carter also sees a different side to Jackson and hopes Jackson can get his shit straight. The two bond over lost loves and discuss personal information.
When Jackson messes up, he messes up big and in turn hurts the girl he loves even more. Carter steps up trying to help the situation to possibly only make it worse. See Jackson loves Emma but Jackson keeps messing things up with her before he even has her.
Now introduce Whitney, she's Emma's best friend. She comes to her best friends rescue and tries to help dig her friend out of her deep dark hole. When she realizes she can't do it herself she asks for Carter's help.
The more they hang out and talk the more the two develop feelings. But can Carter be with Whitney if he's still in love with Kate? Will Whitney be able to trust Carter when she's been burned in the past?
Do these two have what it takes to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way or can they see what's
right in front of them and hold on for dear life?
This was an absolutely amazing story and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Epilogue!
