An amazing story! I truly enjoyed this book more than I enjoyed book one in the series. This story is about Isla and Jessie.
Once friends, now enemies, these two are something! Jessie blames Isla for his reputation being tarnished and him being drug through the mud all because she was helping his now ex-wife to destroy him. Isla in all fairness didn't know what a crazy, psycho his ex-wife was and while she had nothing to do with his downfall, he feels the need to take it out on her and wants to destroy her life she like ruined his.
Everywhere Isla turns Jessie Beckett is there. She can't run or hide, so instead she decides to play his game. When the two are near each other though there are sparks, and it's hard to deny. When the paparazzi sees them, its all too clear that something is going on. So when there's a will there's a way right?
Isla has agreed to help Jessie and herself out by coming to an agreement, they are going to fake date and show that Jessie isn't this bad guy the world thinks he is and her business will stay in tact. Only life has a way of throwing curves at every angle.
Jessie leads a white, gray, and black life. He hates color and everything Isla is....is color. She's red, and purple and blue where he's not and when she tries to give him a dash of color he doesn't know how to react. He wants to continue to hate her, but the more time he spends with her, the harder the lines are to see.
It doesn't help that his ex-wife is still trying to destroy him, making herself yet again look like the victim. Isla is set out to destroy her if its the last thing she does.
They both have walls up, they both have been hurt more than any person should be and trust is a lot harder to have when know you so much about a person. How do you get it back? Is it even possible?
When these two are thrown through loop after loop, it only makes them closer, yet ready to run for the hills. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way? Will Jessie be able to change his mind about destroying Isla and her company? Will they be able to see what's right in front of them?
This book made me laugh so many times, the tea being one of the best parts! Oh the tea! You will not be upset with this book at all. It's definitely worth reading.
