I'm such a fan of Mac and Matt from how they met to where they stand now.
Book 6 picks up where things are starting to get a little shaky with Mac and Matt's relationship. Ever since Marissa came back into the picture Matt has started pulling away. He's distant, not hanging out or seeing Mac unless it's at work and even that has it's distance.
She knows something's wrong but she can fix it or will it destroy what they have?
When the time comes Mac realizes she can't do it anymore. Matt Connover cannot give her what she wants. If it were only sex it would be simple, but it's not, her hearts involved.
Matt does the something that pisses Mac off and she ends up saying enough is enough. Gives a notice and decides to start something new, away from the sexy Matt Connover.
With only a few days left Mac goes on a trip with Matt, business related of course, and things are strictly business. They are able to have the easy banter and as much as her heart yearns for him, she can't keep giving in.
When goodbye is so close she feels a sadness and excitement. Sad because she won't get to see Matt F***ing Connover daily, but excited for this new adventure.
Matt makes an expected move that makes Mac so proud.
Can Matt realize that Mac is the one for him? Or will it be too late?
This was a beautiful conclusion to the series! I am going to miss the series though. I loved how it ended, but so sad that it's over.
